   pretty sure hearing about the concept of life insurance as a kid was legitimately traumatising

   like...what an extremely morbid concept. many people may only think of it in the context of "oh well it gets you some money just in case you die" but the fact of the matter is, we shouldn't really have to worry about money ever, especially not when someone we care about has just died!!!

   it's extremely predatory too. it's just people making money off of the fear of death and poverty

      honestly it's incredibly fucked up that any kind of insurance exists not to mention things like car insurance being mandatory.

      i mean, shit, the concept that an accident destroying your stuff or your health/life, is just another thing that you're supposed to deal with yourself and take the fall for if you don't "prepare" for it (give more money to capitalist scum) ...completely asinine

      and we practically blame people for things beyond their control, too.
