We've decided to shut down #somsants. It's been 6 years and starting to feel old. We never really acheived our objective anyway. So, we'll start again with a new node on the !fediverse with the same idea of building network in the neighborhood, but now this time with more community to jump start it.
No sé si usar gnusocial, pleroma o mastadon. I really like #pleroma. Lo he probado pero no está listo para producción. eg. Logout from pleroma, navigate to root url, and you see you haven't been logged out!
What a dilemma! Sugerencias please?

@tuttle I would vote for GNUsocial for your new instance, among other reasons because I like the duality of its two web interfaces. I think a huge advantage of the classic GS interface is the "threaded timeline", i.e. when someone posts a reply then the preceding conversation appears together with that reply. I personally wouldn't want to miss this kind of UI.
But I also use Qvitter sometimes, because is it "more modern" and has a lot of nice things... i.e. you can hover over a (remote, unknown) @nickname and a popup with their avatar and profile desciption and a follow button will appear..
Btw, you can install qvitter without making it the default ui and each user can always decide for themselves which ui they want to use.
