      There's also apparently a transmitter for Gaydio launching in Brighton at some point, although the existing Manchester station is 🚽

      There's also, apparently, a transmitter for Gaydio coming to Brighton at some point this year, although the existing Manchester station is utter toilet. Non stop dance "choons" and transparent pink pound ads for banks, and they go out of their way not to mention Manchester anymore

         Gaydio is a symptom of everything that's wrong with a lot of LGBT media and campaigning organisations these days.

         They rely on advertising and sponsorship from corporations wanting to showcase how cool and inclusive they are (we'll fleece anyone, gay or straight!). Gaydio is full of ads for banks, airlines, even the Israeli government advertises ("visit Tel Aviv Pride!") on there.

         Nothing truly radical can come out of a media org that owes its existence to pinkwashing corporations.

            So instead of doing anything radical, or even vaguely interesting, they play non stop house music all day (because every LGBT person likes nothing else) and occasionally break off the automated tunes-and-ads mix to talk about Tom Daley's nipples or something.

            There really is no point.
