   @wion @kensanata Mastodon is a hammer, it's good for hitting nails. Some people seem to like their hammer so much, they want it to also screw, plane, and saw. But a hammer redesigned to do all those things wouldn't be as good as a hammer. Why not have a toolbox, in which there is also a scredriver, a plane, and a saw, alongside your trusty hammer?

      @wion @kensanata there are already #ActivityPub apps (compatible with #Mastodon), like #Hubzilla, which are intended for blogging, and don't have the headache-inducing, multi-column UI . Why not use one of those instead of trying to turn Mastodon into something it's not?
