      New Spanish Government to Prioritise Climate Change Policy
      from South EU Summit
      Spain’s new government changes the country’s stance on climate change, and pushes full-steam ahead on policies to increase the use of clean energy, including an announcement that the government will scrap the contentious sun-tax, known as “impuesto al sol” in Spanish. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also merged two ministries to create the Ministry for Ecological Transition, and appointed a well-known environmental activist, Teresa Ribera, as its head.
