   I saw you have listed #WECO in your profil. Is that just to increase visabity for them, or are you one of the devs.?

   I have noticed that you use #SendGrid for sending out emails, incl. to track for the sign up process.

   Since they seem to be some million dollar company I have my reservations when it comes to pricacy. I guess their software is also proprietary?

   What's the reason you choosed them, rather then #phplist or #mautic?

      I am one of the early users and am deeply involved. I didn't know the founder personally when I joined but now we talk almost every day briefly :D.

      Neither of us are tech people, but we would be more than happy to change from #SendGrid to something better. We also plan to change from Google Analytics.

      First we would need to collect a list of alternatives and make a poll open to all users to choose which alternative to change to.

      Are there some alternatives you would recommend?

         yeah, #googleanalytics is like a 'no go' for many within the fediverse.

         There are some great alternative, that I haven't tested by myself, but have seen them being recomended.

         Anyone reading this:

         What can you recoment as a replacement for googleanalytics?

         (myself would choose non of such tracking tools, until 'really' nessasary)

            I agree that goOgle Anal-ticks is a no-go for ethical websites. Here's some info on a few options:

            I know of some people who have used #Matomo (formerly #Piwik), and found it does the job. #AWStats is probably the simplest thing to set up, if you only need some basic stats, rather than the full buffet of analytics options.
