Your Definition of "Fascism" isn't simplified if it is so broad that every Tom, Dick, and Harry are Fascist.
A definition like "a belief that group is more important than the individual" or "conformity or else" are way too broad and include many things that are definitely not fascist.
By using these definitions you end up dilute the term which is already a problem as actual fascists do their darnest to dilute the term because it gives them the cover they want so if so if someone calls them "Fascist" many will shrug it off because "everyones a fascist".
