         @tomas Quit.im is just a GS theme. Pixelfed was created from scratch to offer the best user experience for sharing media!

            @dansup yeah but my point is more that something with "feels" a bit like instagram has already existed, and I'm pretty sure kaniini has talked to both mmn and hannes

               @tomas You know whats funny? MMN-o is the reason I started pixelfed, he would not acknowledge my issues or pull requests even after I spoke with him on IRC. If he had I would probably be working on rewriting GNU/Social!

                  @dansup He's quite busy with other things these days, given the lack of commits and from talking to him offline.
                  I'm honestly surprised anyone wants to touch any PHP codebase these days. Looks like GS development is picking up though, somehow
