         ...the shelf is built. It has power and a CAT5 cable. (this was last year some time) :P

                     @theru Well, I have my last 2 main desktops down there. They are still decent rigs. I bought 3, 2tb drive to put in one for a RAID. The house printer can go down there...

                     And I'm laying in bed on a laptop watching other people play golf on TV.

                           @theru Oooh! I knew of FeeNAS. One server was going to be the RAID storage. The other was going to be a media server.

                           I just found out about the Plex plugin on FreeNAS. I might be able to do everything with one rig!

                           All right, All right, I'll get off my butt.

                              @NYbill I used to run my plex server from the freenas for a long time :) (It's now running in a vm and my media is mounted via nfs). Freenas is nice and really flexible.

                                          @theru Yea, I just have to decide on the hardware set up. That computer on the right is a liquid cooled gaming rig.

                                          Might be too much for a NAS box.

                                          The one on the left is a aging Dell. I'll have a look in the AM and make some decisions.

                                             @NYbill download img put it on a usb and put another usb in the computer install and then go to the desktop and set it up :)
