   i wonder how long it'll take for people to take features way too far on a smartphone to the point where nobody enjoys using them

   the latest fixation on tiny bezels seems to be going that direction. i'm already accidentally touching the screen on my phone just by holding it. it's been happening less since i got it half a year ago but it's still a pain

      i don't think smartphones are getting "too big" tbh, i think that the current size of like 6" is about a perfect ratio for still fitting in one's pocket and hand while having a large enough screen to see and actually use without missing all the touch buttons and keys on the virtual keyboard all the time

      honestly i want to have a physical keyboard on a phone more than anything but i'll never find one that i like, and as an additional nitpick, none will ever feature dvorak

         the perfect phone for me would include:
         - slide-out physical backlit keyboard, dvorak layout
         - dedicated camera button
         - hdmi/thunderbolt 3 over usb-c

         and basically just lay that all on top of the pixel 2 xl

            the pixel 2 xl cannot output video over a wired interface except supposedly with some expensive and sketchy usb-to-video adapters. if you want to output video you need a chromecast and iirc you can't use a custom rom?
