Chris named BenIt occurred to me that when it comes mass shootings, the victims are all considered to be sacrifices to freedom, liberty, and our God-given rights. Akin to the sacrifices that soldiers make for us, and the sacrifices that police and firemen and astronauts make for us. That not capitulating to tyranny is the ultimate price, whether intentionally rushing a pillbox or caught in a draft or in a fire or in a robbery or in a shooting. This is the only way I can wrap my mind around the American psyche.
