@patricksudlow Isn't "slandering the State" the press' entire job description? A press that is always on good terms with the state wouldn't be very useful.

I'm finding Israel an increasingly useful example of what happens when you allow ethnonationalism to take root. Scarier still, I saw someone on r/the_donald point out that "if Israel can get away with it we can too!"
