it always impresses the crap out of me when a cis man can say "i'm sorry" for a thing he did, without qualifiers or deflection like
- i'm sorry it was upsetting
- i'm sorry if you felt offended
- i'm sorry it was poorly worded
those ain't it
an apology isn't the end of the world, especially if you do it early
to me it makes you look stronger, safer to be around, more reflective and thoughtful, not to mention it's sadly a rare thing to see
please practice it if you don't
