40p isn't a bank-breaking toll but it causes huge queues at peak times while they collect the small change from everyone crossing.
It's 2018, can't we get rid of the last Victorian turnpike? Last time I crossed it I forgot it was there, so I made light of the fact and the bloke was really snarky - "we've been here a while, you know".
