    Better approach: be proficient at roll-your-own local and regional networks and store-and-forward and BBS systems.

      @jankoekepan Lots of things are illegal. It doesn't mean they can't/won't be used effectively in the right circumstances. Get licensed, use it legally, but have the ability to do otherwise if/when the time comes.

          @ink_slinger Ham stations are quickly and easily located and identified. Doing things that annoy bureaucrats from them is less safe.
