@jankoekepan Lots of things are illegal. It doesn't mean they can't/won't be used effectively in the right circumstances. Get licensed, use it legally, but have the ability to do otherwise if/when the time comes.
@jankoekepan Having said that, your approach may well be much better. I'm not technical enough to know, but should probably make an effort to educate myself.
@ink_slinger Ham stations are quickly and easily located and identified. Doing things that annoy bureaucrats from them is less safe.
