They have this weird tradition at work. Once a week, there will be a table in the corridor with a pot of oil on a hotplate and a plate of vegetables, seafood, chicken, and assorted pastry parcels. As you go by it, you're supposed to pop something into the pot for the next person who passes to fish out and eat. It's called "casual fry day".
