   With regard to browsers and the current controversy over #Firefox sending data to CloudFlare:

   Years ago, I *paid* for Opera browser. I use a browser pretty much all day for work and recreation. I'd pay real money for an ad-free, spyware-free, non-creepy browser today.

   Surely there must be other people like me who rely on the browser for huge swathes of day-to-day life and would pay money for one?

      I mean, loads of people pay real money for office software like MS Office and competitors.

      How many of use now use our browsers far more than we use a Word Processor? It seems odd that the only real options are free-as-in-beer browsers that make you pay with your privacy.
