Finally I've discovered a free open source image viewer and editor that I feel at home with. It does everything I need, including batch processing, and is very intuitive and easy to use. Prior to this I was using XN View because, even though my demands are not particularly high, I couldn't find anything that I liked in the repositories. https://nomacs.org/
