something very common in (free) software that I hate is the "I made it first therefore you owe it to me/us"

like, buddy,, i had all the shitty ideas you can come up with, better, someday when i was 15 while bored in math class, and i'm sure many did. sometimes you're not the hero you just happen to have money or time and energy to spend. fix your ego it's leaking everywhere
