Solderpunk@pkotrcka Argh, good catch! The problem was avoiding over-exposure, so I should have been talking about minimum aperture, i.e. how far they can stop down, not maximum. That'd be f14 on the Yashica compared to f32 on my 50mm FD. So the Canon rig is still overall about two stops more capable at handling super-bright conditions. Sorry for the confusing write-up, I'll correct it so that what I have written matches what I was thinking. :)
