There are, kinda but not like separate and easy to find. You use the visibility setting (usually looks like a globe by default) and set it to 'mentioned users only' but it may or may not work for users on non-Mastodon servers and replies end up all mixed in your regular notifications. So... there is but it really sucks and you're better off using IRC/XMPP for group chat/messages
