@sikkdays A mixtape service would be really nice, and I have suspected for years that Pandora could pull off a personal mixtape generation service (different from what you're suggesting, but still cool).
I have a negative association with Spotify after years of coming across their playlist/album widgets on websites and being told "not so fast! You need an account to play these songs!" It's a quality growth hack, but suckering people into thinking it's a regular web streaming thing sucks.
