Periwinkle snail chilling on the rocks of the intertidal zone. Those little blue animals (in this photo around 2.5 mm in length) are ‘seashore springtails’ - found across most of the world. When I looked back at this picture I realized how much they pop out, they look photoshopped 😂 That pop is from their cool blue ish grey color.
Not sure if the snail i photographed is a common or rough periwinkle - I saw plenty of both species! I also saw yellow periwinkles while exploring the tide pools.
