         @Combaticus At 32, I can see the pros in that column, and some of them are very well put together 😃

         The mother of my child is slightly older than me. I can't do that again. It's biologically/culturally a loaded situation, but I do feel the drive to father more children.

         So I am looking for a woman who is at least slightly younger than me and hopefully much more beautiful. Sue me!

               Sometimes I see some hot young thing and all I can think of is how she'd drive me to drink with shallow talk about shallow topics. There's something sexy about having a little life under your belt.

                     I guess that's why I feel like this place, NASocial, is so special. Adam and JCD have created their own unique dimension where smart people possessing excellent decency can come together. That's no small feat in the world we find ourselves in today.

                     @PhoneBoy @Combaticus I came out as a follower of Christ at work last week. What followed was a parade of shallow generalizations and tropes. The only rational, keep-my-job answer had to do with the realm of judgement and how carefully we should tread there 😃

                     I know there are other deep topics besides GOD, and I have delved into many others with coworkers, but we really do live in clownworld and most folks seem to be content to exist only as base beasts.

                        @SLRock @Combaticus while I personally am not religious, it doesn’t generally bother me that people are, so long as everyone can be respectful of each other. Sadly, there are plenty of people of every religious faith that do not represent their faith well. 😑

                        @SLRock Wow, I bet that's a good story. Sorry to hear you're working with a bunch of close-minded people. Isn't it funny that that's what we always get accused of? Being close-minded, but man oh man they sure don't like to consider the faith as worthy of anyone's time. Take heart. You never know how your witness is making an impact. There's someone at work watching and the HS is working on them thru your life and testimony. Hang tough.

                           I am dangerously apathetic about what they (and strangers in general) think of me on non-work related topics, but I'm working on that 😉

                           There is/was no rebuttal to my faith, just a few random anecdotes about specific, corrupt churches. I'm like, "hold up hold up who is boasting of human perfection here !?"

                           Now that I have help from above in bearing my burden, I try to rejoice in laughter, even sometimes in the face of predictably misplaced wrath of my fellow man.

                  @Combaticus @SLRock @PhoneBoy It's having high standards at a time when low standards are ascendant, and communications are mediated by algos. "Places" as such to just meet and socialize with people are limited to workplaces for most people, and the context of most services is getting people laid, not connected to a partner.

                  It's a frustrating situation for everyone, including the women dying for an intelligent conversation.

            @SLRock No explanation needed, bro. My Mrs. is three years younger than me and I've always been attracted to women younger than me. BUT, younger is a relative term. ;) There's just something about an good looking mom that's attractive, but if you'd asked me 20 years ago you would have gotten a different answer.
