@xahlee i think c# is a nice language. i enjoyed dot net framework and msft's common language infrastructure. while their libraries had some peculiarities i had no issue prototyping anything or building larger systems with it. i wouldn't say it's dead, but i haven't touched it in a while... mostly because i don't run a lot of windows machines any more.

@xahlee i will say i have seen plenty of horror shows written in it. one in particular that comes to mind was an incorrect understanding of parallelism... he he. that poor program ran for 15 minutes, chugged, died, every time... we just deleted it after giving up trying to grok it.
