Julian Bond 🍸@Ninjatrappeur Atom (RSS) is not dying. Please don't try and reinvent it. Instead get back into promoting it. And if necessary writing conversion utilities to generate feeds. Even if it's only for your own use.
There is some argument for a translation of Atom into JSON and people do try to do this every so often. It's not a bad idea. But it needs a proper effort to build the standard, tools, libraries and readers to get it off the ground.
