I use RPM/yum/dnf pretty much every day and can't remember having any real issue with RPM since yum came out. Before then, I would have to descend into dependency hell with some regularity. That was a long time ago, however.

Maybe I don't mind RPM because I use it and its tools a lot. 🤔
