These things are all true:
-Everyone dies.
-Not everyone chooses public service.
-Those who do, especially as a politician or their relative, assume a responsibility of moral power in addition to their actual political power. (This is why ethics matters.)
-It is appropriate at all times to judge a public servants' moral power based on the good and bad they do with that power.
-Helping people is good.
-Intentionally causing fear, suffering, and death is bad.
