Over the last... 5? 7? somewhere, years, my relationship to music, television, and video games has fundamentally changed.

I need more novelty in them, and I also am less happy exploring the contours of one thing repeatedly. I can't listen to the same playlist for a month, or grind the same location for days, not with the same joy I used to.

I have been playing Pokemon and there's a bunch of stuff I want, but it takes a lot of nothing to get it, and I ... just don't care.

Or I want to play music, but I need constant novelty, without needing to tune, and it's weird. I used to listen to large playlists or albums, but that's too small a pool now.

I don't know what changed to make it that way.
