David de Groot 𓆉Ok, so it's not much, but it's the first fully forged #knife I've made. Made from an old mower blade, with the tang end folded and forge welded, then drawn out slightly.
Took a punt & quenched in water & tempered to straw by heating the back of the blade & waiting for the colours to run. Sharpened to 8000 grit.
Tang was heated and pushed into the handle, burning it's own hole, then epoxied for final fitting.
As I said, it's nothing special, but a start. #blacksmith #metalwork
