In 2005 I had an Odeo account. Then this thing called "twttr" came from it.

We organised BarCamp Jozi 2006 over this (then twitter) thing: http://barcamp.org/w/page/400892/BarCampJohannesburg06

Was a wild, wonderful time. Getting to meet smart people and have expansive conversations.

This fediverse with a "local" community - it appeals to me, on so many levels. Here is to building a community, and to grow and learn together (again).
