Strypey (strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz)'s status on Monday, 10-Sep-2018 08:45:42 EDT Strypey @wuhei @cypnk the difference between sealioning and genuine debate, which is that the former is a form of trolling intended to frustrate and exhaust the target and waste their time, while the latter is based on a genuine to desire to learn, share ideas, and achieve mutual understanding. Sealioning is one-way; they demand, you supply. Debate is a two-way street; both sides ask questions and supply answers, and show willingness to admit what they don't know, and acknowledge their mistakes.
