Drew DeVault@iank @grainloom nonfree firmware is far from unique to AMDGPU. It's _far_ more open than the Nvidia driver, and there are no alternatives that don't require firmware. That's why I endorse it. If something with free firmware and free drivers becomes available, I'll jump ship.
