   @algernon People can grow and change... it isn't easy though. It's good for people to hear that a past pattern doesn't have to be one they're stuck in for life. I too have had many patterns I'm embarassed about looking back.

   We should make it okay, and encouraged, for people to change for the better as they mature.

      @cwebber @algernon People don't grow and change it their points of view aren't challenged. That's why it's not a mistake to go to the places where the toxicity breeds. In fact it's dangerous to spread the meme that these places should be left alone, I think. We need to go in and challenge people, and support others who do. I've commented a bit, and upvoted others.
