    I'm a homeless conservative.

    Bank offered a $650K mortgage. We bought our home for $129K.

    When the housing market bloated and all our coworkers tapped that sweet home equity for new cars and pools, we watched in horror.

    In 2008 they lost their homes. We took advantage of the crash to buy a nicer home. Because we'd saved money.

    We save for retirement.

    We spend less than we make.

    It's why I'm a full-time writer now.

    I strongly encourage this kind of conservative.
