As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself wishing the Canadian date was aligned with the US one, if only for the many, many articles about "best pumpkin pie" and such that will be published a month too late to be useful (yes, I can just go and look at what was written last year, but that doesn't show up directly in my RSS reader).

I also like the whole weird "the holiday is on Thursday, but a lot of (non-retail) companies are also closed on the Friday" thing; a 4-day would be weekend nice.
