@Johnny_of_the_swamp The girl in the beginning was hard to get past, but I ended up with the same basic conclusion. Her sincere grief and trauma is somehow everyone else's burden, whether they choose to accept it or not. And that her struggles are so unique, nobody else's problems can compare.

@Knight_of_the_First_State Yea, it was rough. She's very clearly having a breakdown, and this is going to sound cruel but if you watch the interaction between her and the officer, she's trying to use her emotional state to manipulate him. Makes you wonder what her childhood was like. People who behave in this manner deserve our sympathy but there can't be any room at the table for them until they get help and reform.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp It must be something you learn. Someone in her life uses guilt and shame to motivate her. So, why shouldn't it work for everyone else?
