Hey, if I stumble across Mastodon data getting used in a court case, would anyone be interested in the particulars? I think it would greatly raise awareness of what the risks are (really, continue to be) of posting about illegal activity, even on decentralized social media.

@Trev 100 per cent yes.
I know, in the early days, people were really making a point of pointing out that Mastodon is not a safe space for organizing -- especially if that organizing might involve illegal activities. I haven't seen as many people pointing that out recently, though maybe I'm just not following the right people these days.

Don't talk about illegal stuff in social settings. Period.
