   The whole thing about "mental retardation" is that now assholes are just going to make fun of delayed people.
   
   Delayed is kinda not really what is happening though. These people aren't going to catch up.

      @musicman People that want to make fun of vulnerable people already target mentally handicapped people, just as they target others who cannot effectively resist.

      The reason for this comment is that I don’t understand the “now ... are just going to ...” part.

         people have changed retardation to delayed. I fail to see how this solves anything. I think we are saying the same thing.

         ironically, "handicapped" is actually a word that I think makes sense to move away from because it comes from when disabled people were beggars. I'm not losing any sleep over it though. :)
