when a communist shows me how communism will allow me to have whatever i want without having to pay for it, in such a way that it scales for everyone, they will have a compelling argument.

unfortunately such an argument is impossible, because communism by it's very nature is biased against the arts, and the arts are mostly what drive actual usability in design.

in many cases, soft-capitalist solutions such as cooperatives can provide a solution to this problem that actually scales decently.

but communism itself by design does not provide people with what they actually want -- instead you are expected to want what is provided.

if I want a 80" TV in my living room (which I do have because it is something being sold), and the proletariat decide everyone will either have 30" or 45" TVs as their living room options, then I don't get what I want, now do I?
