just to further reiterate: any economic system which allows me to acquire goods to my particular specification is fine with me, as long as i can acquire whatever goods i want.

unfortunately, so far, the only economic systems that allow this are the ones centered around commerce -- e.g. *regulated* capitalism.

communism by it's very nature is anti-choice. everyone has the same choices, which means everything is design by committee. and design by committee never works out, now does it?

@kaniini sounds like someone oughtta look up syndicalism and mutualism
Also I dont understand why you wouldnt be able to use goods owned by your commune
If you need something outside of your commune how is that different from not being able to find something in a capitalist system

i don't like sharing. if sharing is caring, i don't care.

also syndicates are just corporations reinvented from first principles.

@kaniini okay well good for you but you are certianly wrong about syndicalism

See in most variants of syndicalism there is really no competition.

The Idea is that the syndicate is a (either top down or non heirarchial) organization of all of the workers in a given industry. sort of like the ultimate trade guild, which would then go and fulfil the requests of various entrepeneurs after wieghing the supply for materials and the demand for them coming from possibly more important projects.
