It has been an interesting change in our thought process to see that God (Or nature, or the world, or whatever term doesn't offend your sensibilities) provides what we actually need to live and that everything above that is gravy. If I was set-up properly we could get all of our water needs met for free (and I live in a desert) and there is more than enough food floating around that only requires some work to get it to the table.
