@xj9 @deadsuperhero I'm not really sure that I understand everything that happens in this space... but I don't think you can assume that someone is just doing it to be trendy. Like sexuality, I think a lot of people find gender/sex to be a very confusing and uncomfortable area in their lives, and they've gotta figure out what works best for themselves. Experiment until they find what suits them, but be cautious about making any permanent changes until one is sure. There isn't really a manual... but there are lots of mixed messages from all sorts of directions. Not to mention what we believe ourselves.
