Mike Stone :ubuntumate:@Indie They're really handy devices to be sure. I'm just not a fan of all the information they collect on us. I'd much rather control my own information and still have the same capabilities.
Imagine a Mycroft system with an in house server, where all of your smart home and applicant functionality was covered, and all external requests were funneled through a VPN and TOR. You'd be able to have all the same functionality and still stay private. Have your cake and eat it too.
