It's easier to "just do it" if you've spent months or years culling counterproductive habits. I think the missing link is in what people do instead of what they should be doing.

The starting point that preceded my own breakthrough was that I didn't actually know what I wanted to do. I had spent so much of my life dodging other people's willpower and personality that I never had a chance to develop my own.

This careens back into my recent infatuation with inversion!

Who am I? What do I want to do? What do I need to do? Can I resolve those questions in the same process, or do I have to prioritize?

I have...no idea. But what I can do is slowly pick apart the habits, like checking my phone every 5 minutes or waiting until midnight to get ready for bed.

Slowly, I make space for myself, and paths emerge.
