   This article contains some fairly alarming language. It describes the current activities in the Atlantic Ocean on the part of Russia and NATO as a "war" and a "battle".

   The alleged battle is happening because new Russian submarines are making it difficult for NATO to operate in freely in the sea between the USA and Europe. The Americans want to keep Russian submarines out of the area so they can send war ships to Europe without the risk of being sunk.

      From the article: "The first battle was under WWI, when German subs arrived on the scene and changed the entire threat picture on the sea. The second was the submarine war during WWII that the allies had to win to win the war. The third was the Cold War, and the fourth is now."

      I don't think the people of Russia and NATO want this conflict. Like every conflict before it, this one was created by politicians, generals and weapons dealers.

         The problem, of course, is that, by the end of it, politicians will have convinced the people of Russia and NATO that, yes, they do in fact want a conflict. It's madness.

            This senseless war machinery is activating and there is not a thing one can do about it. The government drums up the fear and the media helps them. The generals want a war, because that's what generals do, and industrialists wants a war, because wars are good business. It seems that whenever a society runs out of problems to solve, it decides to start a war, and it's usually over nothing. There's just this need to have wars that humans have...
