    Love it. It does the same thing as my Alphasmart, so I hardly need it, but if I ever find one for $5, it's mine!

      @cameron I found an Alphasmart to buy. But did not do it so far.
      That Emate did not have a long life for sure:

      "The eMate was introduced March 7, 1997 for US$799 and was discontinued along with the Apple Newton product line and its operating system on February 27, 1998."

      Nice features though: It lasted up to 28 hours!! (And had a Stylus)
