Result will be probably a slap on the wrist with regard to penalties, but I have good hopes there will at least be compliance as the maximum fines are rather high even by multinational standards.

Interesting (though legally rather "well, duh") bit: if you write privacy policies that are so vague that people can't know what they mean in practice you cannot use them as an argument for having consent.

Interesting overview about what even the basic level contains. Wonder how long it takes for software companies to figure out that MS has A LOT of useful information about who's pirating their software. Discovery action anyone?
