   I used Takeout to try to download my google photos, and it's given me several years worth of folders with dates on, all containing json files, and none of them prior to September 2017 contain any jpgs. Would appreciate any advice on this ✨

      This method doesn't work either because most of the photos do not appear in the google drive folder

         The json files all contain similar data, dates and timestamps, little else

            I only started looking at doing this because I was trying to pull up photos from Xmas 2015 and noticed all of 2015 was gone from the photos app. There are json files for 2015 in the zip from takeout but no images.
