Watched it yesterday at 7 am with my daughter (her last day at home) before my first day at uni. and then found this article, which is very well written. What a great show. I must say, waiting 25 years for the end of a show and then being able to watch it is very satisfying, especially with the context of all the life in between. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/reviews/twin-peaks-season-3-episode-part-17-18-4-renewed-finale-laura-palmer-dale-cooper-twist-a7928771.html

Twin Peaks' finale was a fitting end to TV's greatest treasure

*WARNING: SPOILERS FOR TWIN PEAKS SEASON 3, EPISODE 17 AND 18* What have we done?  When Twin Peaks first returned to our screens, we yearned for fairytale endings. For Dale Cooper and Audrey Horne, or for Laura Palmer to finally be given her rest. But at what cost? It's the question which seemed to centre the show's finale: a dizzying, heartbreaking end which both roared and whispered in its last breaths.
